In recent years, Chinese cities have becoming increasingly competitive economically, with Shenzhen ranking 4th among 1,006 cities around the world that have a population of more than 500,000, according to a United Nations report.
近日，中国社科院与联合国人居署联合发布《全球城市竞争力报告2019-2020:跨入城市的世界300年变局》。
The Global Urban Competitiveness Report 2019-2020 was jointly released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences at the United Nations for Human Settlement Program recently.
2019年全球城市经济竞争力指数二十强里，有五个中国城市，分别是深圳（第四位）、上海（第十位）、香港（第十三位）、北京（第十七位）和广州（第十八位）。
Five Chinese cities ranked in the top 20, including Shenzhen, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Guangzhou, which occupied the 4th, 10th, 13th, 17thand 18th places, respectively.
纽约、伦敦和新加坡排名“全球城市经济竞争力指数”前三，而深圳、圣何塞、东京、旧金山、慕尼黑、洛杉矶、上海、达拉斯、休斯顿、香港、都柏林、首尔、波士顿、北京、广州、迈阿密和芝加哥紧随其后。
New York, London, and Singapore came in as the top three cities in terms of economic competitiveness, followed by Shenzhen, San Jose, Tokyo, San Francisco, Munich, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Dallas, Houston, Hong Kong, Dublin, Seoul, Boston, Beijing, Guangzhou, Miami, and Chicago.
该报告还衡量了全球城市的可持续竞争力，中国城市近年来在这一领域也在稳步提高。香港和深圳是进入前20名的中国城市，香港排在第7位，而深圳排在第19位。
The report also measured the sustainable competitiveness of global cities, indicating that Chinese cities have steadily improved in this area in recent years. Hong Kong and Shenzhen were the only two Chinese cities that entered the top 20 in this regard, with Hong Kong coming in at 7th place and Shenzhen taking out the 19th spot.
